Porsche is preparing to give us its Macan compact SUV, with the vehicle expected to arrive next year and it seems that the carmaker is getting more and more positive expectations for the vehicle.
Porsche initially predicted that the Leipzig factory will bring 45,000 units of the Macan to the world next year and now it seems that the carmaker has increased that figure to 75,000 (by the end of 2014). Unnoficial sources state that Uwe-Karsten Staedter, head of Porsche procurement, has offered the aforementioned information to suppliers, in order for the companies to be ready to cope with the superior demand when the time is right.
The Macan is expected to have an engine range comprised of V6 units, which should include the new 313 hp 3.0 BiTDI engine from Audi, as well as a fresh 380 hp petrol V6 unit for the Macan Turbo model, while a four-cylinder entry-level and a hybrid model should also be part of the scheme.
