Launching special and limited versions of their models in the Middle East could prove to be a pretty profitable business, especially because those living there are willing to spend a fortune on exclusive vehicles. And Rolls Royce has already proved that in the past and Porsche is probably trying to do the same.
The new Panamera relies on the same 4.8-liter V8 engine mated to a PDK dual-clutch transmission found on the 4S and, among other features, it comes fitted with the Sport Chrono Plus package. The special bits are the black alloy wheels, the Carrera White exterior finish and the red leather interior. And of course, the limited availability, as production will be limited to just 66 examples. Each model will be sold with a unique plaque mounted on the door sill to prove the authenticity of the vehicle.
"This is a very special model introduction for us as it underlines the importance of our region. Porsche has never built a vehicle solely intended for the PME region before to meet the unique demands of our customers. We invite all Porsche aficionados to visit the Porsche stand at the Qatar Motor Show and use their chance to see the first of only 66 models worldwide," Deesch Papke, Managing Director of Porsche Middle East and Africa, said according to AMEinfo.com.
