Porsche Makes Management Change

Porsche AG’s Board of Management has appointed Hans-Gerd Bode (49) as head of the department of Public Relations and Press.

The executive replaces Christian Dau (49), who has worked in the Porsche Press Department since 1997 and has led the team there since 2008. Dau is now taking on a new challenge at Porsche AG’s department of government affairs.

Matthias Muller, Chief Executive Officer of Porsche AG, recognized the former head of Porsche Press and his many years of service. The CEO highlighted the fact that Dau managed to bring an image boost to the company.

In the past 13 years, Christian Dau has played a key role in the Public Relations and Press work at Porsche. He headed the department at a difficult time of company restructuring and was successful in giving it new emphasis. Thanks to his commitment and many years of experience, he has succeeded in strengthening the positive image of Porsche. As one of the most highly regarded communications experts, Hans-Gerd Bode takes his place as our company’s Head of PR,” the CEO said.

Hans-Gerd Bode joined the company in 2008. The executive headed the Product and Technical Press ever since. He majored in German studies and Geography in Bonn and, among other things, was a press officer for Mitsubishi and worked for Opel. In 1996, he started working for Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart. In 1999, Bode was employed by Volkswagen, working in Wolfsburg, where he was appointed head of the company’s brand and product communication department.
