Whether you’re taking today as 4th of July or just a happy Friday over in Europe, we’ve prepared a little choice for you. A Porsche livery choice, that is. There’s just one rule here - you have to keep in mind that it’s not the car you are selecting, but the way in which the racing apparel fits it.
The two offering you see here are renderings coming from TessoArt and, going through the story, you’ll understand why we chose digital over real-life.
In the Blue corner, we have the Gulf Porsche 918 Spyder. This is a bit of an ironical one, since Porsche does offer a Martini livery for its hybrid hypercar, but not the Gulf one. Notice that while the door mirrors have embraced the Gulf orange, the rear wing has kept its carbon fiber look. Oh yes, it appears that the rendering gifts both the 918 Spyder and the 911 Turbo S with rather generous carbon wings.
As for the Martini, or Martini & Rossi Distilleria Nazionale di Spirito di Vino, to use the company’s full name, its association with the 991-generation 911 may sound familiar. That’s because Porsche itself came up with such a release last month.
The Germans treated us the the 911 S Martini Racing Edition, also announcing that the set of Martini decals is available on worldwide markets as an aftermarket kits, albeit on “select 911 models”. We’re not sure if the 911 Turbo is on this list, so we’re bringing you a Turbo S dressed in this manner.
