Earlier this week, we brought you numerous videos of this, the latest supercar created by the German carmaker Porsche to take big money from your wallet. The car was on static display at a Nurburgring track day even, and some people even got to drive the pre-production prototypes.
One of those potential customers must have gotten hold of an official brochure for the car and scanned it, resulting in these first official images of the 918 Spyder being revealed.
The 918 can be a boring shade of gray if you want, but to evoke the historic 917 race car, its modern day successor is also offered in Martini Racing and Salzburg Racing livery. The photos also show the by the 918 concept and the full interior.
The driver and passenger are not only embedded in contoured sports bucket seats but also form part of the cockpit that encroaches on all sides. The dash offers three circular dials for road speed (left), engine speed (middle) and energy management (right). The console is all about providing entertainment, while the gearshift lever is right behind the steering wheel.
