Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet Gets Carbon Fiber and Alcantara Interior from Vilner

There are many things that can be said about the 997-generation Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet and the fact that it still feels uber-fresh is one of them. Nonetheless, a comprehensive cabin makeover to help the car keep up with perhaps the latest trends Porsche Exclusive is setting in terms of 991-generation models is always welcome.

This is precisely what Bulgarian aftermarket developer Vilner has prepared for the open-top, ex-generation Turbo and they are now willing to share their work with us. To be more specific, we are dealing with a pre-revamp 997.1 here - while most of the visual details brought by the facelift could be fiddled with if an owner wanted to, the Tiptronic automatic gearbox shifter is no PDK gear lever.

Perhaps somebody over at Villner is a Stendhal fan, since they gave the Porsche cabin a makeover that literally spells “The Red and the Black”. The interior is covered in Red leather, which is matched with Black Alcantara on the seats - actually, the seats display a rather interesting combination of the two, a piece that makes this 911 stand out.

The same two-tone color combination was used for the dashboard, albeit sticking to leather. The contrast stitching also plays an important role for the visual effect achieved here.

The final touch is given by the steering wheel, which features a new leather finish, also with contrast stitching, as well as carbon fiber trim. The carbon fiber stuff can also be found around the center console. Or perhaps that title goes to the Red leather key chain - we’re kidding, that’s an OEM accessory.

Sure, this may not be the perfect 911 Turbo Cabriolet - the Tiptronic and the weaker-than-the-Copue character of the 997 generation are the best examples when it comes to stating this. Nonetheless, Vilner’s cabin makeover is definitely a plus for this Porsche.
