The video was filmed from behind the patrol car that brought the shopping trolleys back home. As we said, the Slidell Police Department touched the clip before posting it online. For instance, they added delicious stuff such as the theme song of the Cops TV show.
Then again, the worthy-of-your-time nature of the video mostly comes from the officer who used a group of shopping carts like a bowling ball, sending them straight into the queue.
In a move that’s perhaps even funnier, the policeman steps out of the patrol car used for the job and performs a victory dance.
The Louisiana officers even have a message for us: “The average cost of a shopping car ranges from $85 - $250 a cart. So, one slow night back in May of 2013, two Slidell Police officers decided to help out a local business by bringing back their shopping carts. The entire good deed was captured on a dash cam. We added a little music and decided to share!”
In case you are now sitting in your chair (or wherever you like to be when using your smartphone or laptop) and wondering about the usefulness of the job, you should simply consider the number of insurance claims involving stray shopping carts.
