Plane Crashes into SUV in Texas

A light aircraft piloted by a rookie collided with an SUV, a Volvo by the looks of it, at the Northwest Regional Airport in Roanoke, Texas. The plane was on approach to land and clipped its undercarriage on the side of the car, which was driving on a road placed right by the highway. This is what you’d call an accident waiting to happen!
The Cessna light aircraft loses part of its undercarriage and hits the ground with its belly. Fortunately, the plane was only doing 65mph (105km/h) when it hit, so nobody was injured.

Airport officials say they have tried to buy the road adjacent to the runway but the owner wasn’t cooperating. That might all have been too late for the people involved in the crash.

The rookie pilot got the scare of his life and is quitting flying.
