The Place Vendome parking garage, which is situated in the heart of Paris, has caught fire yesterday following the combustion on one of the vehicles that were parked inside. The site usually holds a multitude of exotic vehicles, with one example being the 2011 Gumball Rally - all the cars if the Gumballers were parked in the garage for one night.
It seems that a car that was parked on the second floor of the Place Vendome caught fire. The car and the cause of the fire are not officially known, but certain sources claim that this is a Ferrari that was leaking petrol. The fire injured one person, with the flames spreading rapidly on the floor.
A total of 30 cars were destroyed by the fire, and it is estimated that many others were affected by the extreme smoke and heat, as well as by the water used by fire fighters.
