Pink Passion smart fortwo Finds a Purpose in Life

Back in October, the world saw the birth of a limited edition smart fortwo called pink passion. Having realized that such a car is an insult to the automotive world, it’s creators decided to do something in order to offer the vehicle a decent purpose in life, so they decided to link it for charity actions. Of course this is just our opinion of the car, but the charity connection is a fact.

The vehicle auction specialist British Car Auction today announced that it has managed to help raise hundreds of pounds for charities that fight against cancer by selling one example of the limited edition vehicle (only 85 units of the vehicle have been produced).

Leading vehicle auction specialist, British Car Auctions helped raise hundreds of pounds for charities involved in the fight against cancer through the sale of a limited edition Pink Passion smart fortwo car.  The event was organized by BCA and car dealer Fred Andy,” stated the press release.

The sale raised funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign, a charity that offers money for research into cancer cures and respite treatments, as well as for the Breast Cancer Research.

The sale took place last month, being included in the BCA Balckbushe, raising GBP500($780) for the charities. BCA decided to donate an additional GBP250 ($391), while further fund-raising by Mr. Andy generated GBP750 ($1,170), bringing the total amount of money raised to GBP1,500 ($2,350).

We were delighted to work with Fred Andy to help raise this considerable sum to be shared with the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign and Breast Cancer Research,” said BCA spokesman Tim Naylor.
