Italian car design firm Pininfarina teamed up with AC Future to design an electric RV that can be converted into an off-grid mini-home. This is how the two entities see the future of living and traveling.
Revealed at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, the Electric Transform House (eTH) is basically an eco-friendly, expandable luxury mini-how that offers 400 square feet of living space. It comes with a luxurious yet minimalist interior and state-of-the-art technology, and it is perfectly capable of going off-grid.

The model is the result of a collaboration between the iconic Italian design house Pininfarina and AC Future, which specializes in developing futuristic living solutions.

It is equipped with a retractable solar panel roof, which captures power from the sun and converts it into over 25 kWh of energy. Furthermore, an Atmospheric Water Generator turns air moisture into up to 50 liters of clean water per day. The luxury home is capable of staying off-grid for up to seven days.

Once the occupants find the perfect spot, after a whole day of adventure, they only need to press a single button, which sets everything in place for living. It comes with a gourmet kitchen, a spacious living and dining room, and there is also a private bedroom.

Practically, it's got pretty much everything a bed & and breakfast type of accommodation would offer. The vehicle is designed to sleep four people comfortably. There is an extendable sofa in the living room that can also be turned into a bed for a fifth person.

The layout inside makes the space quite versatile. There is a flexible dashboard that can turn into an office desk. It also integrates entertainment features. The eTH home benefits from the presence of Starlink connectivity, which allows the users to be online all the time and work on the move, turning the RV into a mobile office.

The product is highly customizable. Owners can choose the exterior and interior color options, as well as the interior layout of the RV/luxury mini-home.

The electric RV, featuring movable walls and collapsible and modular furniture, measures 20 feet in length but expands to 29 feet when in House Mode. It does look futuristic, but there is no word on the specs or pricing. However, considering that it can stay off grid for up to an entire week, it must surely be equipped with a large battery pack.

Vice President of Design Pininfarina of America Paolo Trevisan says that the RV changes the way people live and move, creating the premises of a new lifestyle, one that is more dynamic, more sustainable, comfortable, and affordable, while staying intelligently connected..

The RV remains on display at LVCC, West Hall, in the AC Future's booth until CES 2024 closes its gates.
