Automakers have finally figured out that simple cars need to be a bit like washing machines and TV sets: simple to own. Peugeot has decided the best to do this was through their “Just Add Fuel” campaign, which basically wants you to forget all about all the other things you usually worry about when buying a car.
In Peugeot’s latest TV commercial to be unveiled on Christmas Day, we find out that we needn’t worry about problems that don’t concern us, like Gary who lost his cat.
And just like that, Peugeot wants you to forget about the customer's insurance, servicing & warranty, road tax and roadside assistance, because all that’s been taken care of with one fixed monthly payment.
“The moral of the advert and the video clip is… don’t worry about Gary’s Cat he will be ok – sometimes in life you don’t need to worry about things, they look after themselves, just like buying a new Peugeot exclusively with the Just Add Fuel package,” Peugeot UK says about the TV ad, which runs starting Christmas Day.
