We’ve never been fans of the grinning grille, but the RCZ is the only car Peugeot makes that looks decent with it. We have no idea if the car will get a facelift, since it hasn’t been a huge market success, but the French still know how to add appeal.
Borrowing a page from the MINI customization manual, the Peugeot RCZ has received a special edition that’s brown... with stripes. Now where have we seen that before?
The RCZ Brownstone edition is finished in a new Guaranja Brown exterior color, complimented by gloss black for the grille and brake calipers. Inside, you are going to be surrounded by Cohiba Leather and Alcantara on the sport seats, dash and doors.
The RCZ Brownstone is also impressively equipped with Peugeot’s Sport Package, Comfort Package and full xenon headlights. But there’s no getting away from the fact that you’ll have to pay €32,650 in France for the 1.6-liter THP version with 156 PS. A quick check of the VW France website reveals a Scirocco with 2.0-liter TSI and six-speed manual is actually €420 cheaper, and we’re talking about a car with a Golf GTI engine.
It really doesn’t look like Peugeot designed a winner here!
