As the small crossover is getting ready for its UK market debut, Peugeot sent the 2008 out to prove itself not against mother nature's elements but against manmade snow at an indoor ski center called the Snowdome in Tamworth.
To prove that the 2008 can be a capable soft-roader, Peugeot allowed people to test models without Grip Control, which enhanced traction, and they struggled to get very far. It was a totally different story once they swapped cars.

Grip Control will be available as standard on Allure and Feline trim levels with 1.6 petrol and diesel engines. The system can be controlled via the dial located in the centre console, opting instead for Snow, Off-Road, Sand or ESP Off.

The Peugeot 2008 will go on sale in Britain on July 18th with prices starting at £12,995 on the road. However if you want Grip Control, you'll have to part with £16,195.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
