With intermittent rain falling during the race at the Autopolis circuit in Oita Prefecture, the GT500 round 7 was won by No.36 Petronas Tom’s Lexus SC 430.
The start was clean, with no trouble for anyone, the lead being quickly taken by No. 38 Zent Cerumo Lexus SC 430 putting out a 1.6 second space between him and the competition.
The race was tough, with rain falling intermittently and drivers making mistakes, sending them to penalty pit drive-throughs.
Fighting its way from the 10th place, the No. 36 Petronas SC 430 climbed on third in lap 44 and passed No.1 Reito Mola GT-R on lap 48, taking the second place. In the meantime, leader Zent Cerumo SC 430 skipped a tire change and was forced to slow its pace, leaving the podium for the No.36, also marking their second win this season.
