Paul Edwards is the new US vice president of Chevrolet Marketing, the Detroit-based automaker announced earlier this week. The 44-year-old executive succeeds Chris Perry, who resigned last month.
“Paul’s broad experience in virtually all aspects of automotive marketing, across multiple brands, makes him a great fit for Chevrolet as we continue to build on our strong product momentum here in the US,” said Chevrolet global chief marketing officer Tim Mahoney.
Born in Detroit, Edwards joined General Motors in 1992. He held various sales and marketing position at Cadillac until he was named manager of Chevrolet Advertising ten years ago.
He was appointed director of Media Operations, Advertising and Corporate Marketing in 2004 and director of Advertising and Sales Promotion for Chevrolet in 2007. Four years ago, Edwards became executive director of GM’s global marketing.
