Opel has announced that the Zafira Tourer will be put together at the history home of the brand, the Ruesselsheim factory, as of 2015. The Hessian plant will thus be the exclusive plant for the two biggest and most sophisticated Opel/Vauxhall model lines.
The current Zafira Tourer will stay in production with the Bochum plant until the end of next year.

The third generation Zafira Tourer was previewed in concept form at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, as the 'Zafira Tourer Concept'. It is produced alongside the old generation Zafira Bsince 2011. It is available with a range of different engines and has recently received the 2.0 CDTI Bi-Turbo with 195 PS and the aluminum block 1.6 SIDI Turbo with 170 PS.

"After the run-out of the Bochum vehicle production Opel will invest in "Bochum Perspective 2022". It is the goal of this initiative to bring new jobs and technologies to Bochum and to the region of North-Rhine Westphalia," Opel says in an official statement.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
