As the summer is almost here, it’s time to speak about convertibles. Reporting live from the New York Auto Show’s floor, we can tell you that the Audi A5 Cabriolet looks as fresh as ever.

The vehicle we shot was powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which was borrowed from the Golf GTI. The powerplant produces 211 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, dealing with the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 7.5 seconds and returning a combined cycle fuel efficiency of 25 mpg.

The power is delivered to all four wheels using the company’s famous quattro system. This won’t be to happy to help you drift the vehicle if you're in a racy mood, but it will allow you to negotiate corners with a high level of safety, making sure that the vehicle follows your lead.

Here’s what Audi has to say about the vehicle: “Like all Audi convertibles, the open-top Audi A5 also has a lightweight fabric top that endows it with a silhouette of dynamic elegance. The fully automatic top opens in just 15 seconds. Audi also offers an optional acoustic top with an intermediate layer of insulating foam that reduces wind noise almost to the sedan level.

"When opened, the Audi A5 Cabriolet top folds down so effectively that very little trunk space is used up - leaving 320 liters (11.30 cubic ft) of unused storage volume, clearly the best value in its field of competitors. The soft top compartment lowers automatically when the top is opened.
