No New Bugatti for Frankfurt Auto Show

In spite of reports saying that Bugatti is getting ready to launch a new car at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show, the French manufacturer won't showcase a new model. Instead, the company will present the car to a couple of executives, dealers and customers and see their reaction before the official public launch scheduled for a later date.

As you know from our previous coverage on the matter, a new some sort of teaser surfaced a few days ago, hinting that Bugatti might be working on a new model to be revealed in the near future. The photo was actually scanned from an invitation to a special event at the Frankfurt Auto Show during which invitees will be introduced to a new model.

As for the teaser per se, only a little can be spotted in the pictures, as they look like some night shots especially made to give us a slight glimpse into how the future model will look like.

On a separate front, the French manufacturer will introduce a new special-edition Veyron at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in the United States next month that will be based on the 16.4 Grand Sport convertible. The Grand Sport entered production in May and is priced at 1.4 million euros. With the roof closed, the car is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 407 km/h (252.9 mph) while, with the roof off, it "only" achieves 360 km/h (223.7 mph).

Feature highlights include carbon fiber-made doors, two redesigned air intakes, moisture-resistant and backstitched leather, reversing camera with 2.7-inch LCD screen in the rear mirror and “Puccini” sound system with digital signal processor.
