Aside from being highly-successful in Japan, the Nissan Cube never really managed to achieve any kind of success elsewhere. However, in Japan it is something of a cult icon, thanks to its asymmetrical and rather funky styling - we also like the name, and we say it also has something to do with its success.
Now, they have updated the car for the 2013 model-year, with new color options, additional optional kit, as well as the introduction of two new trim levels, called ‘Axis’ and ‘Rider Performance Spec’, the first of which is more luxurious, while the latter is deemed to be more sporty.

The Japanese manufacturer has also revised the 1.5-liter engine which powers it, which now has 110 hp, as well as the addition of start/stop. The engine is now reportedly smoother, and offers superior fuel economy, being rated at 5.3 l/100km, or 53.7 UK mpg.
