Nissan Juke Facelift Teased for the First Time Ahead of Geneva Debut

Just like we suspected, the third crossover model Nissan was bringing to the Geneva Motor Show is not the new Murano, it's the facelift for the Juke. We know that for certain now, as the Japanese automaker has released a teaser photos that's as funky as the car itself.

Looking at it, it's hard to guess what the changes being made are, but that's just the way Nissan wants things. Unfortunately for them it won't work, since prototypes have been spied on a number of occasion, allowing us to paint a clear picture.

The photos below indicate the Juke now gets new upper headlights, a redesigned Nissan grille ornament and LED indicators in the mirrors. There's also a set of new wheels on this test car, which look like smaller versions of the ones on the new Qashqai. We don't yet know is this will be enough to keep the Juke relevant, especially since it doesn't have the big boot of a Renault Captur, something buyers probably prefer over crazy design.

The Juke is perhaps the precursor to the B-segment crossover market, having been launched back in 2010. However, the boring Nissan 1.6-liter base engine and the CVT gearbox have been letting it down. This new model is supposed to have "improved efficiency and enhanced refinement", which likely means the Renault-sourced 1.2-liter turbo engine just launched on the Note is also going into the Juke.
