Trekking in the footsteps of premium car manufacturers, the Japanese from Nissan announced today the start of the Health & Well-Being concept, a program meant to provide drivers and passengers alike the perfect in-car environment.
The main goal of the project is to help reduce stress and fatigue for the car's occupants by providing them with a comfortable posture, a comfortable thermal environment and good cabin air quality.
The posture problem will be handled by Nissan with a pair of seats wearing a very fancy name: Comfortable Captain Seat. The seat features seat cushion-integrated leg rest, articulated seatback and three-layered cushion pads. All three are according to Nissan featured for the first time in the same seat.
Tackling the need for thermal comfort is the Quick Comfort Seat Heater, a system which is used to optimize heating density and control. For better breathing, Nissan offers the Advanced Climate Control system, comprising Plasmacluster Ions generator, inside/outside air control, grape polyphenol clean air filter.
Some of the technologies described above can be seen in action soon, on the Infiniti M and Nissan Fuga models. The Japanese carmaker promises that this is only the beginning, as it has set up the Life on Board program, an initiative meant to create the near-perfect driving environment.
Aside from the aforementioned technologies, Life on Board has developed the new Intelligent Control Display on the Nissan Juke, the Forest AC air conditioning to be featured on the Fuga and even new textures of interior materials.
All the advancements of the Life on Board program are based on studies of the human body, behavior and requirements.
