Nissan GT-R Sets Monster 8-Second Drag Time

During the TX2K12 event at Lonestar Motorsport Park (guess where that is), an AMS-tuned Nissan GT-R came and blitzed the track with a time that seems scarcely believable. The record pass pasted a 8.63 at 172 miles per hour.
The tuned GT-R gets really squarely off the line, and sounds like a beast, just a few seconds later it’s all over and the parachute opens to slow it down.

We did a bit of searching and found out the AMS has made a black GT-R just like this one that’s supposed to have 1500 horsepower. This requires an engine rebuild, a new turbo kit and a new gearbox. So this isn’t simply one of those kits that increase boost and fit and add a new exhaust. And obviously, it also has stickier tires plus specially designed parachute.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
