The availability of Nissan’s revolutionary Leaf electric car has been extended in the US. Thus, the 2012 Leaf can now be ordered in Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey and New York with deliveries to take place by December.
So far, the Leaf electric car has found almost 7,000 homes across the nation. By the end of the year, Delaware, Indiana, Louisiana, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island will also be added.
We’ll remind you that the 2012 model year comes with additional standard equipment including quick charging and cold-weather features, and will launch around the end of the year.
"Consumers have spoken, and it's clear that they are looking for a car that produces zero emissions and uses no gas," said Brian Carolin, senior vice president, Sales and Marketing, Nissan North America. "We are seeing tremendous consumer interest in the Nissan LEAF in these new markets, particularly in the New York metropolitan area."
