Nissan Duster Anyone?

Nissan is a Japanese automaker that has had reasonable success in Europe with its crossovers, the Juke and Qashqai. Meanwhile, Renault is a French carmaker mainly specialized in sedans and hatchbacks. The two share technologies, engines and platforms, but that’s it.
However, Nissan’s design language fits perfectly into the headlight and grille area of the Renault / Dacia Duster crossover, like a baby X-Trail. This is perfectly illustrated by a rendering created by

Despite the odd nature of this re-badging, it might actually happen. Nissan’s vice-president for vehicle design and development, Jerry Hardcastle, said the company is waiting to see if Renault can strike gold with the Duster before badge-engineering the car. But the vehicle is already seeing considerable success.

What we want to know is if Nissan will market the Duster in places Renault can’t reach, like America. Otherise, there's not much that Nissan can do with the Duster.
