Next Generation Chrysler 300 Interior Official Photo

The first photo showing the interior of the next generation Chrysler 300 came out yesterday at the New York International Auto Show as the company rolled out the new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The first thing you'll notice when looking at the interior is the large touch-screen display that will provide access to a wide range of functions, including navigation, infotainment and other details regarding the vehicle.

Obviously, there are only a few details available at this point, as Chrysler struggles to keep everything hidden from our eyes but gives us a glimpse into how the upcoming model will look like every once in a while.

Along with the first photo rolled out in mid-February when the American automaker submitted its survival plan to the United States government, Chrysler also mentioned that the 300 would come in a choice of two engines, a six-cylinder and a Hemi eight-cylinder. Both of them are specifically designed to achieve the lowest possible fuel consumption and emission ratings.

In addition, Chrysler 300 will incorporate a wide range of safety features, including the so-called Rear Cross Path and Blind Spot Monitoring system that help drivers while changing lanes. Electronic Stability Control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes and seat-mounte airbags will be also included in the package.

Rumors are claiming that Chrysler 300 is scheduled to go on sale anytime next year, with prices likely to be reduced with the help of cheaper materials, such as plastics for the interiors. However, all these specs are only early rumors so we're still waiting for a full description of Chrysler's flagship sedan.
