Volkswagen recently introduced the new CC to the Australian market and the company is expecting the model to be a successful one, after the previous model was well received Down Under.
Customers can choose between two engines, a petrol and a diesel. The first is a 3.6-liter V6 FSI that delivers 300 hp at 6,600 rpm and works with VW’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive system, while the second in a 2.0-liter TDI unit producing 170 hp at 4,200 rpm, which can use the aforementioned AWD system as an optional feature (the standard model uses front-wheel drive).
Both units are mated to VW’s 6-speed double-clutch Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) and come with the eco-friendly BlueMotion Technology as standard, including features like Start/Stop system, battery regeneration, as well as the Coasting Function, which allows the engine to idle when the driver takes his foot of the gas.
