Toyota is really moving things along now, reinventing itself at an accelerated pace. The GT 86 is interesting as a marketing exercise, but C-segment hatchbacks and sedans represent about 70% of their sales, so we’ll have to admit the Auris is much more important.
At the Paris Motor Show, which began last week, Toyota revealed the first wagon or estate version of the Auris, called the Auris Touring Sports. Today, the very first dynamic video of this model was released.

As far as we know, this will be the only hybrid estate model available with hybrid or diesel engines. It’s also quite good looking, thanks to a V-shaped grille that connects the headlights.

Toyota says that wagons represent 25% of all C-segment sales, and their expertise with hybrid engines in will produce good results in a mainstream car. The estate model will share the engine range with the Auris, meaning a 1.4-liter turbo diesel, plus 1.33-liter and 1.6-liter petrols.

They haven’t forgotten the practicality either. They have yet to reveal the interior of the car, but we know the 285mm longer wheelbase over the hatch will increase loadspace. The cargo bay sill is also set 80 mm lower than that of the hatchback.
