After seeing some pictures and a walkaround with the Toyota Vitz, the automaker decided to finally release some official photos for its European counterpart - the facelifted Yaris - along with some of its specs.
The car is basically the same on the outside, but it comes with restyled rear LED lamps, slightly redesigned bumper with diffuser insert while at the front it draws inspiration from the big X you can see on the all-new Aygo model.

However, on the 2015 Yaris, the X is slightly different and makes the hatch look like a big open-mouthed fat carp that your uncle catches in his regularly fishing trips. Still, it’s a lot better than the relatively dull design it previously had and it clearly shows the design language the automaker is heading to. Fish mouths for the win!

The interior looks exactly like the one in the Japanese Vitz, but it’s mirrored for left-hand driving. Simple lines, smooth surfaces and new seat materials appear to be the changes for now, while the center of the dash holds a larger 7-inch infotainment display which is probably available on higher trim levels.

But despite looking like a big fat fish, Toyota suggests the car will be nimble as a barracuda, as it will come with a more rigid body, revised front springs and redesigned rear suspension along with a retuned electric steering system.

In addition to making it more sharp turning, fish came once again to inspire the automaker to make its interior more silent, as they fitted it with more sound insulating materials and a revised exhaust to keep the noise from the 1.3- an 1.5-liter engines as down as possible.

Pricing and packaging is still a mystery, but that’s about to change soon as the new Yaris will enter the market this fall.
