Just ahead of the model’s official debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, Kia dropped some fresh pictures and renderings of their new hatchback-based coupe, the Pro_Cee’d.
This sexy little three-door follows from the relatively successful first generation, launched in 2007. The second generation model that will soon go on sale is a whole lot sexier and should attract plenty of attention in the segment.
Speaking of segments, the Kia Pro_Cee’d has quite a few rivals, such as the VW Scirocco, Opel Astra GTC or the Megane Coupe to name but a few.
This brand new Kia is built on the same platform as the regular Cee’d and the Hyundai i30. It will also come with the same engines, the 1.4 and 1.6-liter petrol and diesel unit. There should also be a 1.2 and a 1.6 T-GDi added to the range.
The Pro_Cee’d distinguishes itself through a stylish front end and muscular shoulder. The back end has also redesigned from the hatchback to give an arched look to the car.
