One can never get enough aftermarket parts and accessories for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, at least this is what I get from seeing one more aftermarket exhaust company launched. Welcome Firebrand, a new Anaheim, California-based manufacturer which promises top-end performance and quite a bang for the customers’ bucks.
Firebrand is the brainchild of two former Vance&Hines executives, so it looks like the products they’re creating come from a solid, hands-on experience and are most likely impeccable, too. The two industry veterans are John Peck, a former vice president of manufacturing at Vance and Hines and Leigh Crawford, who is a former R&D manager for the same company. They are now President and vice president of development for Firebrand, respectively.
The new company will be focused on developing and manufacturing exhausts for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, but future plans include more accessories and the addition of more brands to their list. The first Firebrand product is the Loose Cannon Slip-On for Harley touring models, sporting 4” (10cm) cans with flash-suppressor end treatment, high-performance baffles and dual density packing, designed to maximize the power and torque of both stock and tuned engines.
No dyno figures have been revealed yet, but we hope that Firebrand will be so kind to post some torque, power and weight numbers for their Loose Cannon Slip-Ons. The new silencers are compatible with large saddlebags and skirts and also come with an optional dB-killer insert that’s easy to install. Available in either black or chrome, the all-new Firebrand Loose Canon silencers fit all Harley-Davidson Touring bikes manufactured since 1995.
Also available through HardDrive Parts, the handcrafted Firebrand Loose Cannon Slip-Ons retail for $549.99 (€400) for the chrome version and $599.99 (€438) for the black model.
