The KTM 1290 Super Duke R is definitely not lacking power and torque, but some killer exhaust tones never hurt. SC-Project is introducing its custom titanium silencers for the Beast and things sound really cool.
SC-Project even has two aftermarket treats for the riders who want to add some edge to their Super Duke R experience. The one in the video below is the Conic Silencer version, a slip-on can which is an easy replacement for the stock exhaust, made from titanium and sporting a carbon fiber end cap. The package includes the silencer, 1 link pipe, springs and screws and high temperature stickers.
The can is street-legal in the EU and comes with both a dB killer which can be removed for racing purposes and the accompanying CEE homologation card specific for the bike model. The Conic is available for €390 ($535).
SC-Project has one more silencer for the KTM 1290 Super Duke R, the CR-T, but we’re already in the racing line zone, so we’re no longer talking about street-legal components. The CR-T is made from carbon fiber with a full titanium exit pipe, and comes with a carbon fiber clamp. Just like the Conic, this can is compatible with the passenger rearsets. SC-Project adds that no different ECU tuning is needed.
This racing version is derived from the MotoGP, as SC-Project has a lot of experience with Avintia Racing Team powered by Kawasaki in 2014 MotoGP, for Aprilia ART CRT of Cardion AB Motoracing Team and Aspar MotoGP Team. This can is available for €470 ($645).
