Ford has come up with the second-generation Territory crossover. The model now gets new looks, new tech, but still a single engine. The Territory is only sold in South America and Asia, with the American customers getting to see it only in photos.
Ford has been building various models to satisfy various markets. Their global portfolio is way wider than the lineup that they sell in the US. For instance, the Edge is only sold in China as an L version, with extended wheelbase and modern design, unlike the one that is going to step out through the back door of Ford's model range before the end of the year.

The second-generation Ford Territory is now officially launched in Brazil. The list of standard equipment includes LED lighting and 19-inch painted aluminum wheels. Customers can choose one of the seven colors available, with the Ruby Red and Deep Blue being the ones that would be the most daring of them all.

There is a 12-inch touchscreen on board, and the infotainment system provides wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster offers relevant information regarding driving.

The two-tone ventilated seats sport four-way power adjustability for the front passenger and ten-way adjustability for the driver. Ford has put wood and brushed steel trim on the dashboard and door panels, yet describes the interior as featuring a minimalist design.

The panoramic sunroof is optional, and so is the hands-free tailgate. Furthermore, Ford claims that the Territory has the largest interior space in the segment in every direction: headroom, shoulder room, and legroom, plus wide doors to facilitate the entry and exit of passengers.

The trunk offers 448 liters of luggage space, or 1,422 liters, with the folding of the rear seats' backrest. The tailgate sports power opening and closing and the procedure is also possible via the infotainment system. It also sports an anti-crushing function and allows the configuring of the opening angle of the lid.

Depending on the market, the territory is available with various trims. But the lineup consists of a single engine. It is the turbocharged 1.8-liter EcoBoost unit, which delivers 187 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. The engine is exclusively mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission which drives the front wheels. No all-wheel drive version is available in the lineup.

Ford already sells the new-generation Territory in China, Mexico, the Philippines, and in the Middle East. In Saudi Arabia, for instance, it starts at 103,385 SR, which translates to $27,465. In the Philippines, it starts at 1,335,000 Philippine Pesos, which is the equivalent of $23,574.

Regardless of the market where it is sold, the Ford Territory has been manufactured under the umbrella of the JMC-Ford joint venture in China since 2018.
