Codemasters has released the full list of Grid 2’s multiplayer features, including game mechanics, event types and a series of fresh in-game screenshots.
The game is set to launch at the end of May this year and as with the previous Codemasters games, it will feature the online service RaceNet, that monitors progress, challenges and rival scores.
"Two player split-screen and 12-player online races across Grid 2’s diverse range of events are just the beginning," Codemasters said in a statement. "An entirely separate multiplayer campaign challenges you to earn XP and cash to unlock and purchase cars and upgrades with each and every race, with player choice at the heart of player progression. Stamp your own identity online by customizing and modifying your car and experience a fair race every time with new anti-grieving techniques."
There are plenty of race types to choose from in the online multiplayer, such as Endurance, Touge, Race (including LiveRoutes), Checkpoint, Time Attack, Global Challenge, Face Off and the well known Drift series.
