New Citroen Berlingo Two-Seater Launched

Citroen’s UK division announced today that the Berlingo range has been expanded with the addition of a two-seater version of the best-selling Berlingo LX model, starting from November. Until now, customers could have only chosen the multi-functional, modular Extenso occasional dual passenger seat.

The new Berlingo 1.6HDi 75 L1 625 LX, equipped with a driver’ seat and single passenger seat comes with a price of GBP12,075 ($19532 or EUR13862, at the current exchange rates), a figure that can be translated into a GBP190 price reduction ($307 or EUR218), compared to the same Berlingo model with the Extenso dual passenger seat.

The Berlingo range offers customers a multitude of possibilities, allowing them to choose between a 1.6l petrol engine with 90 hp or a 1.6 liter HDI diesel unit that comes in two power levels, offering 75 or 90 hp. The light commercial vehicle is offered in the X (2 seats), LX versions (2 and 3 seats) and Entreprise (3 seat) trim levels. Customers who have special needs can opt for a platform cab for specialist bodywork, a five-seat Crew Van or an XTR+ enhanced traction van.

In addition to that, Citroen offers a number of Berlingo Ready to Run specialist conversions, including glass-carriers, temperature-controlled vans, dual-fuel (petrol/LPG) vans and also the Berlingo platform cab-based Romahome R25 motorhome.

The Berlingo is Citroen’s best-selling LCV range. These latest changes will increase the appeal of this versatile model - and further drive down operating costs,” said Robert Handyside, Citroen’s Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager, highlighting the assets of the light commercial vehicle.
