The BMW M3 and M4 are probably the worst kept secrets in recent automotive history. About a year before these two performance concepts went into production, we knew about the engine, the chassis or the gearbox. The upshot is, we had a full year to get excited.
Originally expected to debut tomorrow, these two new M cars are making an early debut. Autobild just uploaded a clip detailing the evolution of the M3, from the 1986 original to the 2014 fifth-gen model.
This clip fully reveals both the sedan and the coupe and gives us the official info BMW would rather we didn't know. Both cars come with a 3-liter biturbo engine rated at exactly 431 PS and 550 Nm of torque. We kind of knew that already, but we didn't know prices would start at €72,200 for the BMW M4 Coupe, while the M3 sedan costs €700 less.
Both cars come with a carbon fiber roof, both are faster and more powerful than before and more economical – happy ending.
