MV Agusta Starts Building First F4 RR Units

The MV Agusta factory in Varese, Italy, is kept busy these days, as the range-topping F4 version has entered production. The first batch of the new F4 RR superbike are being built, and as soon as they leave the factory they will be used as press test bikes and demonstrator machines for a number of key markets, as MCN reports.

The 201-bhp motorcycle was introduced a couple of weeks ago, being bragged about by the Italian manufacturer as “the most advanced and powerful superbike in the world”.

However, we’ll only get to see some objective opinions as soon as the first limited run of bikes get into the hands of the master testers worldwide.

The most unlucky of you who don’t have the money (EUR22,900 or £17,999 if youlive in the UK) to buy the bike, will get to see the it in the flesh at the forthcoming EICMA show in Milan this November. There, sitting alongside the F4 RR, will also be the naked B3 ‘Baby’ Brutale.

But let us remind you what the new F4 RR is all about. The extra power praised so much by MV Agusta comes due to a a bigger bore, shorter stroke ('corsacorta') with larger, lighter larger titanium valves. There have also been some internal gear ratio tweaks performed for improved acceleration.

Other upgrades include Ohlins suspension, lightweight forged aluminum wheels, Brmbeo brakes, and two new paint schemes (pastel red/white and matt pearl white), to name just a few. Add that to the fact that various original MV special parts, such as exhausts systems and racing engine ECUs are also available if desired.
