It's only been days since the first furtive glimpses upon MV Agusta's upcoming Dragster 800 bike, and the rumor mill started spinning even faster. The latest piece of potential news comes from the prestigious Italian magazine Motociclismo and claims the Dragster 800 could be powered by a turbo engine.
While it was no secret that the Dragster 800 was built on the Rivale platform. Motociclismo says that a bike with a 200 rear tire and a 125 hp engine (the stock figure for the Rivale) is a rather uncommon combination and such a bike is most likely to come with a significantly more powerful mill.

Editor Michele Perrino also claims that he knows of MV Agusta actually testing a supercharged 3-cylinder engine, which might just end up in the frame of the Dragster 800... but with no evidence to back the claim.

Suzuki already made its plans to offer turbo middleweight bikes such as the Recursion, while Kawasaki are also working hard to deliver a production turbo-charged mill for their new bikes.

Time will clear the matter soon, as MV Agusta seems more eager to release as many models as economically feasible than keep secret their plans.
