Seattle-based company Clear Blue Hawaii has recently unveiled their new kayak model which will definitely set a new standard in the water sport. Called Molokini, the all-transparent two-passenger kayak was designed to allow you to view up to 75 feet (22 meters) below the surface of the water.
Imagine taking a long vacation to the Maldive Islands and surprising you beloved with a quick trip to the ocean. The weather is good, the water is calm and clear and if you’re lucky you’ll even see some dolphins swimming beneath your vessel. How would you call that for proper adventure?

Made out of durable polycarbonate material used in the production of bulletproof glass and fighter jet canopies, this water toy was meant for the explorer in you. According to its creator, it comes equipped with an anodized aluminum internal frame system (which is removable), dual flotation bladders and a three-quart water bailer.

The Molokini’s elegant yet powerful transparent hull has an unique beauty, while the aluminum internal frame and the timeless, no-frills shapes of the accessories create somewhat sportive and modern effect.

The company claims buyers should know this model is recommended for areas that experience calm ocean conditions. However, its creators claim unparalleled material durability, weather ability and impact resistance are among the Molokini’s advantages. Impact resistance tests have included intense crashing against rock shorelines, 20 feet drops, hammer blows and an ejection from a vehicle at 70mph.

If you want to get a better idea of the toy you could always check their website. As to the price... you’ll need $2,700 (€3,400). But that’s not a lot if you think about it.
