As we reported a while back, MINI takes its teen driving program even further this year. The company transforms the initiative into a performance enhancing course for drivers aged 18 to 21.
The program will take place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway thus becoming the first one of this kind to take place at the world famous track. Signing a partnership with Miles Ahead will allow MINIs endeavor to feature professional race car drivers.

The Miles Ahead driving school was founded by Indy 500 veteran Stephan Gregoire and business partner Ted Woerner in 2011 with the sole purpose of conducting driving trainings and reduce traffic-related fatalities.

“This program combines an amazing experience with learning skills that can be critical behind the wheel every day on the main roads. It is for the fans who really want to experience what a MINI is capable of doing, as well as test and refine their own motoring skills. The iconic track setting is an added bonus,”said Jim McDowell, Vice President - MINI USA.

All students will be driving 218 hp MINI John Cooper Works Hardtops and courses will begin in June. The international team of instructors is made up of race car drivers Alex Lloyd, Stefan Wilson, Dan Clarke, Stephen Simpson, Zach Veach, Dillon Battistini, Ryan Lewis and Stephan Grigoire and the one-day program costs $995.
