The Mini Countryman will be getting its first update, since its launch, back in late 2010. However, it’s nothing major, or aesthetic, just a general improvement of interior ergonomics, as well as the addition of new paint finishes. First off, the car gets a new center console layout, which should be more intuitive and easier to use, new door inserts and armrests.
Owners of the current car will also notice that the switches for the electric windows have been moved from the center console, to the doors, where the driver can easily access all four windows, plus the mirrors in one place - the only other car we can think of that doesn’t have these controls on the doors is the much cheaper Dacia Logan. There are also some minor trim changes inside, with the addition of a Carbon Black finish for the air vent surrounds - optional chrome is available, though.

The other new addition are the new colors, which are Brilliant Copper Metallic and Blazing Red, which are available with revised equipment packages, which Mini claims makes customizing the car even easier than before. Pricing remains the same, with the car starting at £16,510 in the UK, when it goes on sale, later this month.
