MINI has announced the introduction of a new, exclusive Frozen Black Metallic paint option across its entire Countryman and Paceman range, including John Cooper Works models.
The new paint finish will be created using a complex manufacturing process exclusive to the BMW Group and will be applied, for the first time, by Magna Steyr, the BMW’s Austrian production partner that produces the MINI Paceman and the MINI Countryman.
“Due to the labour intensive process used to apply this exclusive body color during production it is limited to a restricted number of cars,” MINI added, without revealing actual numbers.
Similar to other frozen finishes available on BMW vehicles, the Frozen Black Metallic is completely weather resistant and car wash resistant, but MINI recommends that waxing and polishing is done using BMW Group-developed care products.
