Tuners these days are racing to bring out the newest exhausts for the newest models but what about the rest of the cars? What about the rest of the people that can’t afford the new M3 or M4? Well, Milltek thought about them and brought out a new exhaust line-up as part of their Milltek Classic sub-brand.
Aiming at bringing aural pleasure to most of us, they are now launching their new exhausts and they included the E36 range in it too. And get this, they didn’t limit themselves to the M3 either but are offering various choices for the M50 engine variations as well. That includes the 325i and 328i models fitted with inline 6-cylinder plants of 2.5 and 2.8-liter displacements. That’s from the day and age when the name on the boot meant something.
For both of them they are offering 2 flanged connecting pipes, a rear silencer with twin-OEM style tips, 2 x 63 mm stainless steel clamps and everything else you need for your car including fitting instructions.
Made out of stainless steel, the exhaust comes with lifetime warranty and was gas-flow tested to ensure maximum performance. Don’t expect huge power gains, though. These are still atmospheric engines.
The M3 wasn’t left out, however, and you can get a brand new exhaust for the E36 version of it too. The kit includes 1 loose laser-cut flange, bolts, nuts, washers and everything else you need to replace your car’s own pipes, including HJS hi-flow sport catalysts that should also improve the power output and throttle response.
The video below shows a BMW E36 M3 fitted with such an exhaust. However, we’re not sure if it’s the new one of an older version. Either way, it seems to be backed by Paul Cowland, the presenter or Discovery Channel’s Turbo Pickers that said it’s not too loud and doesn’t induce any drone or resonance.
