The show American Chopper isn’t what it used to be - boring builds, a bit of family feuding and a sprinkle of motorcycle design and engineering here and there. But the hype around the show has largely dissipated.
For those of you who have stopped watching, like us, a long time ago, we’ll remind you that Paul Teutul Sr has sued his son a number of times, and the two are building bikes separately now. And of course, the youngest of the sons, the ever comical Mikey has been caught in the middle.
Initially, he sided with his brother, but as the years passed he realized Senior wasn’t the devil he once seemed and is trying to repair his relationship with his father.
"I was thinking about quitting the show ... My relationship with my father won't get any better unless it's sort of off-the radar, off the television show, and not really highlighted ... Aside from I think maybe it's time to move on,” Mikey says, according to the Huffington Post.
In the last episode of April, the young Teutul reveals that he’s going to focus on his painting. But for now, it only seems that Mikey leaving the show is only some sort of scripted reality, so we’re not buying it!
