Big news from Crewe, UK - luxury manufacturer Bentley Motors will go through a change in April, appointing a new president and chief exec officer for Bentley Motors Inc. of the Americas. Through this upcoming move, Mr. Michael Winkler is set to become the new president and chief executive office of the brand in the United States on the 1st of April, 2015.
Winkler succeeds Christophe Georges, who was recently appointed in the position of director of product and marketing for Bentley Motors’ global organization. Winkler will report directly to Mr. Kevin Rose, a fine gentleman that acts as a member of the board for sales, marketing and aftersales.

Rose commented on this occasion that “The Americas region plays a key part in Bentley’s global success, our biggest market with more Bentley customers than anywhere else in the world. I am delighted to welcome Michael to Bentley, and look forward to working with him to drive our brand and network presence further.”

The luxury automotive industry isn’t strange to upcoming chief exec Winkler. He has more than 30 years of experience in the biz, holding a number of international positions by working with Porsche in Germany, North America and Australia, joining Bentley from Jaguar Land Rover, where he held the position of managing director of the Tata Motors-owned company's Australian division.

Last but not least, Georges' new role is based at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, where the man will be responsible for the company’s marketing, product and motorsport activities, as well as matters of brand strategy and development, digital marketing, CRM, the Bentley Collection and motorshows and live events.
