Mercedes Unveils C350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY

Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled the C350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY model, which features a new direct injection V6 engine developing 15 percent more power than the standard model but complying with the EU5 emission standard. Moreover, the new car has a 10 percent lower fuel consumption than the base C350 (an estimated of 8.3 liters per 100 kilometers), but its engine is still able to produce 292 horsepower and a maximum torque of 365 Nm.

And remaining to the engine performance, the C350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in no less than 6.2 seconds, with the maximum speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.

“The C 350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY will be available as no-cost options with “Elegance” equipment, or as the sporty “Avantgarde” variant,” the German carmaker said about the available variants of the newly-launched model.

The new C350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY includes an impressive line-up of standard features, including an AMG spoiler, a dual-host exhaust system, 16-inch light alloy wheels, Speedtronic and 7G-Tronic. Beside all of these, the German manufacturer has also installed the Agility Control package with situation-responsive shock absorber control, the Pre-Safe safety system and the Intelligent Light System with five lighting functions.

“Since the official market launch on 31 March 2007, well over 400,000 customers have opted for a model in this series. As such, the multi-award-winning C-Class has become the world’s market leader in its segment,” Mercedes commented on C350's evolution on the market.

The price of the new C350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY model is 46,796 euros (including taxes), more expensive than the base model of the car valued at approximately 30,000 euros.
