Are you a Mercedes Benz connoisseur and don’t yet have the uber-expensive and uber-fast track toy you’ve always wanted?
Fear no, because the three-pointed star is working on a Black Series version of SLS AMG supercar. The car has been spotted on numerous occasion going round the Nurburgring in order to hone its skills, and recently one of the prototypes caught fire and burned to a crisp.
However, that has not deterred the test team, one all important detail has emerged about this track machine. Though the car is still in the early days of testing, insiders have told WCF that it’s going to produce an amazing 630 horsepower. That’s a huge boost over the already impressive 591 hp that the standard SLS GT makes. While it’s not inconceivable they will be able to pull it off, we just haven’t seen this sort of output from a naturally aspirated Mercedes, not in a long time.
The appearance of the ‘Black’ will be similar to that of the recently unveiled SLS AMG GT3 45th Anniversary edition, meaning a widebody, huge intakes and low stance.
