A chrome pink G63 AMG was spotted recently in China. No, we're not making this up, but we wish be were because now we have to figure out why somebody would do this.
The G63 is not only one of the most powerful, exclusive and expensive SUVs ever made, but it's also one of the most serious. It's not a Nissan Juke or a MINI Paceman. It just doesn't do fun, not unless your definition of fun is driving it over sand dunes and icy glacials… like a man.
Since it's such a macho statement, we have little doubt the pink Merc belong to a man. So why would he do something so utterly girly to it? What we see as girly, the Chinese see as lucky. The license plate is our first clue, as the number 9 is a symbol of the dragon, and pink dragons are supped to be powerful. Funny how it's the other way around on the other side of the world.
