Mercedes Confirms S-Class Convertible

We all knew that Mercedes’ S-Class range would welcome a convertible and now it’s official. Head of Mercedes-Benz product development, Thomas Weber, recently confirmed for Automotive News Europe that the company will give us an S-Class convertible.
The Concept S-Class Coupe, which made its debut earlier this month at the Frankfurt Motor Show, will serve as a base for both the open-air version and a coupe incarnation. The Mercedes S-Class Coupe will be the first to arrive, as it’s scheduled to come next year. 2015 will see Mercedes launch the S-Class convertible. Here's a set of spyshots revealing the S-Class Cabriolet durin testing.

Last time the Mercedes S-Class came in a convertible shape, the world was enjoying the hype of the 60s’. Modern times demand anything with an S-Class badge to offer some sort of above-all aura, so expect the future S-Class Convertible to introduce new technologies on top on what the sedan gave us.
