You’ve probably thought that an iconic muscle car like a new Camaro would be released at an American car show. But the automaker had something else in mind, so here it is - the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible making its debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Convertible version bears the same upgrades as the coupe 2014 Camaro that was also presented at Frankfurt. The front fascia wears a narrower upper grille and bigger lower air vents, while the more sculpted rear will feature redesigned taillights and an air diffuser.
Power will be assured by the 432 hp 6.2-liter V8 engine coupled to either a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox. Zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) with the manual will take 5.4 seconds for the convertible and 5.2 for the coupe.
Interior features include power adjustable Recaro bucket seats (optional), new color head-up display and the new Chevrolet MyLink connected radio system built around a 7-inch touchscreen.
The new Camaro will hit European dealerships before the end of the year, with prices starting from €39,990 for the coupe and €44,990 for the convertible in Germany.
